KBR Employee Receives Service Award from Prestigious Association
Congratulations to Calvin Spencer, Chief Technical Advisor, on receiving a Chairman's Citation for Outstanding Service Award from the Gas Processors Association (GPA).
Spencer served 15 years as a committee member and chair for the cooperative research program, evaluating the credibility and reliability of global research projects that impact the gas processing industry.Spencer has been with KBR for 41 years and has published more than 40 technical papers.
During his career, he has been active and served on committees for GPA in addition to American Petroleum Institute and The American Institute of Chemical Engineers' research collaboration called Design Institute for Physical Properties. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees and a doctorate in chemical engineering from Penn State University. Serving on the technical section F, subgroup 1 committee for GPA, I was able to assist with the evaluation of the research studies and the impact of these studies on design," Spencer said.GPA's cooperative research program has received worldwide recognition because of its successes and benefits to the global midstream industry.
Data from the program have been used in all facets of gas processing and treating design and operation."All the technical research committee work I have participated in over the years is relevant to KBR's work in the industry," Spencer said.
