KBR Awarded Advanced Automation Systems Contracts for HURL Ammonia Plant in India
HOUSTON – November 25, 2019 – KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today that it has been awarded two contracts by Toyo Engineering Corporation for the supply of an Operator Training Simulator (OTS) and an Advanced Process Control (APC) system for the new single-stream 2200 MTPD ammonia plant being built for Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) in Gorakhpur, in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.
Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide turnkey OTS and APC systems and associated services for the HURL-G project. The deliverables include provision of all hardware, software, associated engineering services, upgrades and multi-year maintenance and support. The work is expected to be performed over three years by KBR’s Advanced Automations teams in Houston, USA and Pune, India.
