NIA Nuclear Week in Parliament Overview
The Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) will host the third Nuclear Week in Parliament (NWiP) between the 11th and 13th of September 2023. The purpose of Nuclear Week in Parliament is to promote the opportunities that nuclear energy presents within Parliament, and to bring together key stakeholders and decision makers to hold productive conversations and to help drive forward the UK nuclear industry.
The NWiP will be packed with multiple events and receptions, including the skills festival where we will be showcasing and promote our own talented young professionals, from across the KBR Nuclear family and project teams who we offer places on grad schemes, apprenticeships and helping people retrain.
There they will be highlighting employment and career development opportunities across our projects and within Nuclear industry to parliamentarians . Whilst informing them opportunities nuclear presents for jobs, skills and levelling up. To find out more on the NIA event click here.

Delivering a clean energy future.
The nuclear solution to producing green hydrogen and ammonia.
With hydrogen and ammonia identified as potential key vectors for energy security and net zero – nuclear technologies (including advanced nuclear technologies) can play a significant role in meeting the hydrogen demand for both powering the grid and industrial decarbonisation. Nuclear technologies can provide stable electricity and heat and a competitive cost to support the production of hydrogen and ammonia in the areas where they are needed.
Our event will provide an overview of the hydrogen and ammonia potential and how advanced nuclear technologies such as Small modular reactors and Advanced Modular Reactor can be used to meet the future demand. It will include an overview of the research carried out so far and a panel session covering aspects such as barriers to deployment, potential economic growth and future workforce requirements.
