Giving Tuesday is a special day dedicated to generosity and compassion, and this year, KBR teams have exemplified the true spirit of giving. Through collective efforts across the globe, we have proudly contributed over $1 million so far in 2024, touching countless lives and making a difference in our communities.

Here’s how we turned our commitment to service into action this year:

KBR’s ASPIRE Singapore at Willing Hearts

In November, ASPIRE Singapore team kicked off their Day of Giving Back by volunteering at Willing Hearts, a charity that prepares and delivers 10,000 meals daily to those in need in Singapore. Starting bright and early at 5 a.m., the team threw on their aprons and dove into their tasks.

From washing and chopping vegetables to unpacking boxes, packing meal boxes, and loading meals to be transported, every effort was made with care. The experience was a powerful reminder of how teamwork and compassion can directly improve lives. For the team, knowing their work would nourish others was a deeply rewarding and humbling experience.

LinQuest’s Day of Service

LinQuest’s Day of Service on November 11th honored military veterans through impactful volunteer efforts. At the Veteran Medical Centers in Colorado Springs and Dayton, teams served breakfast, hot chocolate, and food while connecting with veterans receiving treatment. The Las Cruces office assembled “fly away bags” for soldiers preparing for deployment. At the El Segundo and Herndon offices, teams created no-sew blankets to offer warmth and comfort to military heroes. This annual initiative demonstrated LinQuest’s dedication to supporting and appreciating the nation’s veterans, showcasing the company’s values of care and gratitude for their service.

IMPACT Houston at the Houston Food Bank

KBR’s early career profession employee resource group, IMPACT, took to the Houston Food Bank to help package meals for those less fortunate. Through their efforts, they ensured meals would reach individuals and families who needed it most, spreading hope and joy during challenging times. Houston Food Bank serves nearly one million food-insecure individuals in its 18-county service area.

IMPACT Houston is committed to supporting the local community by organizing volunteer activities every month, creating opportunities for individuals to give back.

Spreading Holiday Cheer

As the festive season approaches, KBR teams continue to give from the heart to those in need. In Houston, employees are actively participating in an annual toy drive in partnership with the Houston Fire Department's Operation Stocking Stuffer. This annual event supports more than 20,000 children from infant to age 18. 

The Leatherhead office joined hands with Smile Sleigh, a charity that collects donations of new, unwrapped gifts for women and children affected by domestic abuse across Surrey and Hampshire.

KBR offices across Australia are spreading holiday cheer through various charitable initiatives. The team in Sydney supports Share the Dignity’s “It’s in the Bag” campaign, collecting essentials for women and girls. Our Melbourne office is gathering food and gifts for the Salvation Army, and in Perth, KBR teams aid Zonta House Refuge Association. In Adelaide, our team backs RizeUp’s Christmas Gift Appeal and Brisbane and Canberra offices are fulfilling needs through Giving Tree initiatives.

A Year of Teamwork and Compassion

At KBR, every act of kindness is a testament to what we can achieve together. From preparing meals in Singapore to packaging food in Houston and supporting vulnerable members of our community, KBR has proven that giving back is more than a one-time event—it's a part of who we are.

This Giving Tuesday, we celebrate the power of collaboration, the beauty of compassion, and the lasting change we can create together.
