KBRwyle Huntsville office launches National Management Association Chapter
HOUSTON Ð (April 5, 2017) Ð KBRwyle launched a National Management Association chapter during a charter presentation ceremony at its office in Huntsville, Alabama, on March 22. KBRwyle Leadership Association, Chapter 495, will cultivate leadership, professional development and community partnership within KBRwyle, KBR's Global Government Services business.
Pairing KBRwyle's principles with those of NMA, a non-profit leadership development organization, the KBRwyle Leadership Association will foster leadership and managerial skills through training, the exchange of ideas and best practices, collaborative talent nurturing, committee involvement and community service.
"I am excited about the professional development opportunities that NMA membership provides for our employees. Active participation will benefit each participant individually, strengthen the company as a whole, and enhance our ability to serve our customers," said John Jordan, who leads KBRwyle's business in Huntsville.
The chapter encourages unity and cooperation among all members and colleagues at all levels and extends its membership to not only KBRwyle employees, but also spouses, subcontractors, and retirees of the company.
At the event, Steve Bailey, NMA executive director, presented the charter to Jordan and inducted the chapter's officers, including Rick Hinkelmann, 2017 chapter president. In attendance were the chapter's board of directors and steering committee, chapter members, as well as leadership from KBRwyle's Huntsville office.
Throughout the upcoming year, the charter will provide relevant training opportunities and host influential speakers from the community, including Madison Mayor Paul Finley who will talk about leading change at the first chapter meeting April 11, 2017.
