Infrastructure Services Australia
Brisbane, Australia
Infrastructure Services Australia offers a wide range of solutions to private and public sector clients, including the Australian government and Department of Defence, several state transport authorities, and many of the nation’s major utility companies. With so many important projects, it’s crucial to ensure they are managed consistently and efficiently.
Enter Rajan Moodly, director of the Program Management Office (PMO).
The PMO team provides project teams and other stakeholders with a holistic view of the project through dynamic status reporting and analytics-driven visualization tools. Adjustments can be made based on customer needs and technological changes.
“We have 400 projects, all with unique challenges,” Rajan said. “In my role, I have the latitude to pivot as required to ensure success, which I enjoy because it keeps the work current and challenging.”
Rajan appreciates the autonomy and the trust KBR puts in him to deliver for customers.
“The organization has accepted me on the team, and I feel the things I do on a day-to-day basis are recognized and valued,” he said.
In addition to the high-performing aspect of KBR’s culture, Rajan also prizes the company’s focus on inclusion and diversity.
“Having lived and worked in five countries, I have seen firsthand the benefit of an inclusive team and the diverse thinking it brings,” he said. “Unconscious bias exists in many people, and we all need to commit to eliminating it. There’s a noticeable difference between KBR’s approach to meeting that challenge and what other companies do, and it starts from the top down. We live and breathe the culture, and our leadership ensures we are constantly reminded of our values.”
When not making sure projects are being effectively managed, Rajan enjoys driving and attending car shows in one of his three American muscle cars.
